Article 69 of the EPÜ [European Patent Agreement]. The technical
interpretation of the patent claims is performed according to the pure
wording of the patent claim, the content of the patent claim and the
theory of the equivalency. Equivalency is given when task and technical
interpretation are the same in the compared patents.
